TweedChasse: Our Story, Tweed, and Hunting
Who is TweedChasse?
TweedChasse is a French company specializing in hunting apparel, tweed, and country style. Founded in 2011 by Julien Vion, an agricultural engineer by training and a hunting enthusiast, the company was born from a simple desire: to offer elegant, durable, and functional clothing in France, inspired by the British world of hunting and the countryside.
Behind TweedChasse, there is above all a personal story. That of a hunting, nature, and fine fabrics enthusiast who discovered tweed in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
A Passion Born in Scotland
Grandson and son of a hunter, I have always been involved in this world.
In 2004, while still in engineering school, I had the opportunity to complete a ten-month internship in Scotland, in the Highlands, north of Inverness, in a small village called Rogart.
During this period, I worked as a hunting guide, accompanying hunters on large estates to discover these exceptional landscapes. I found what I was looking for: vast open spaces, preserved nature, and that unique atmosphere of the Highlands, between heather moorlands, mountains, and lochs.
It was also there that I discovered tweed.
Why tweed captivated me
In Scotland, tweed is not merely a fabric. It is part of the landscape and local clothing culture.
I was immediately captivated by its natural elegance, warmth, comfort, and durability. In the Highlands, tweed clothing is perfectly suited for outdoor life and the sometimes harsh conditions of the Scottish countryside.
For me, it was love at first sight.
This discovery would, a few years later, become the starting point for TweedChasse.
How was TweedChasse born?
Upon my return to France, I noticed that the supply of tweed clothing and elegant hunting apparel was relatively limited. Beautiful pieces were rare, often offered at high prices, and the quality did not always meet my expectations.
After my studies, in 2007, I became an agricultural engineer. But the idea of creating my own business continued to mature.
In September 2011, I finally took the plunge into entrepreneurship.
The idea was simple: to sell the clothes I wanted to wear myself, by sourcing British and Anglo-Saxon brands recognized for their expertise from across the Channel.
TweedChasse was born.
Leading brands in tweed and country style
From its beginnings, TweedChasse was built around a selection of houses specializing in tweed, hunting, and country style.
Among the first brands distributed were notably Alan Paine and House of Cheviot, before joining the selection of Barbour, Chrysalis, then Ridgeline of New Zealand, Laksen Sporting, and other renowned houses.
Our approach has never been to multiply brands simply to offer an ever-expanding catalog. We primarily seek products that align with our vision: elegant, comfortable, durable, and genuinely suited to their purpose.
The goal is to allow French and Belgian enthusiasts to discover these houses and their expertise, with service and information accessible in French.
TweedChasse today
Since its creation, TweedChasse has significantly expanded its offerings.
Today, our catalog brings together over 1,800 references and more than 45 brands in the world of hunting, tweed, country, and outdoor.
You will find there notably:

A Presence at the Heart of the Hunting World
TweedChasse is also present at major French events dedicated to hunting and rural life.
We notably participate in the Salon de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage in Mantes-la-Jolie, as well as the Game Fair de Chambord.
These events are important to us because they allow us to meet our customers directly, present the clothing, gather their opinions, and continue to evolve our selection.
TweedChasse, therefore, is not just an online store: it is also a team and a community of enthusiasts.
