Who are we?
The Origins of Tweedchasse
Tweedchasse is the entrepreneurial fruit of my two passions: hunting and fine fabrics.
As a grandson and son of a hunter, I have always been immersed in this world.
In 2004, while I was at engineering school, I had the opportunity to do a ten-month internship in Scotland, in the Highlands, north of Inverness in a small village called Rogart. At the time, I was a hunting guide, accompanying hunters on these large estates to fulfill their dreams. I yearned for vast spaces and sublime landscapes. And what better than this splendid land of heather and lochs for a lover of nature and animals?
There, amidst these wild expanses as far as the eye could see, I discovered tweed. Much more than a simple wool, tweed offers an unparalleled presence, comfort, and durability. It is worn on these lands like a second skin. For me, it was love at first sight.
The Birth of Tweedchasse
When I returned to France, I noticed that the range of tweed clothing did not meet my expectations. The pieces were rare, often at excessive prices, and the quality was not up to par.
I graduated from school in 2007. As an agricultural engineer by training, the idea of creating my own company began to germinate. It was in September 2011 that I crossed the Rubicon of entrepreneurship: I decided to sell myself the clothes I wanted to wear, sourcing them from across the Channel. Tweedchasse was born! The idea was to offer the best Anglo-Saxon tweed products through an online store, by forming partnerships with prestigious brands such as Alan Paine, House of Cheviot... Then came Barbour, Chrysalis, and now Ridgeline of New Zealand, Laksen, etc. All very high-quality brands allowing French and Belgian hunters to find what they were looking for online and in French!
Tweedchasse Today
Tweedchasse features over 1800 listed products ranging from jackets to knickers, including caps, raincoats, quilted jackets, waistcoats, ties... from over 45 renowned brands. Tweedchasse also has a catalog for men, women, and children. We take care of the whole family! Tweedchasse, of course, has a strong and active presence at the two main French trade shows: the hunting and wildlife fair in Mantes-la-Jolie (78) and the Game Fair in Chambord.
Finally, Tweedchasse is above all about happy customers: 9.7/10 on Avis Vérifiés. This is my greatest satisfaction, the happiness of our customers. They are my best ambassadors. Another satisfaction, and not the least, is having sold tweed to the English. A real achievement for a Frenchman! But with Tweedchasse available in English, anything is possible in the age of the Internet. So the best is yet to come.
Today, I am always on the lookout for new products, new partnerships, eager more than anything to offer my customers products that are both elegant, comfortable, technical, and practical. That is the Tweedchasse ethic, and that is why I am at your service and listening to you. If you have any feedback, advice, comments... I will always be there for you. So, all that's left is to invite you to browse our catalog and then let yourself be tempted. Why not? It's the best way to enter the rich world of Tweedchasse. You won't regret it.
Sincerely,
Julien Vion, Founder and Manager
