The origins of Tweedhasse
Tweedchasse is the entrepreneurial fruit of my two passions: hunting and beautiful fabrics.
Grandson and son of a hunter, I have always been immersed in this universe.
In 2004, while I was in engineering school, I was able to do a ten-month internship in Scotland, in the Highlands, north of Inverness in a small village called Rogart. At the time I was a hunting guide, I accompanied hunters on these large areas in order to fulfill their dreams. I was thirsty for immense spaces and sublime landscapes. And what could be better than this splendid land of heather and loch for a lover of nature and animals?
There, in the middle of these wild expanses as far as the eye can see, I discovered tweed. Much more than a simple wool, tweed offers presence, comfort and durability like no other. It is worn on these lands like a second skin. For me, it was a real thunderbolt.
Birth of Tweedchasse
When I returned to France, I noticed that the offer of tweed clothing was not up to my expectations. The parts were rare, at often excessive prices and for a quality that was not there.
I left school in 2007. An agricultural engineer by training, the idea of creating my own business began to germinate in me. It was in September 2011 that I crossed the Rubicon of entrepreneurship: I decided to sell the clothes I wanted to wear myself, by getting supplies from the other side of the Channel. Tweedhasse had just been born! The idea was to offer the best Anglo-Saxon tweed products through an online store, by forging partnerships with prestigious brands such as Alan Paine, House of Cheviot… Then came Barbour, Chrysalis, today Ridgeline of New Zealand, Laksen, etc. Only very good quality houses allowing French and Belgian hunters to find what they are looking for on the Internet and in French!
Tweedchasse is more than 1000 referenced products ranging from jackets to knickers, through caps, raincoats, quilted jackets, waistcoats, ties... for more than 28 renowned brands. Tweedchasse is also a catalog for men, women and children. We take care of the whole family! Tweedchasse is of course a strong and active presence at the two main French fairs: the hunting and wildlife fair in Mantes-la-Jolie (78) and the Game Fair in Chambord.
Finally, Tweedchasse is above all happy customers: 9.7/10 on Verified Reviews. This is my greatest satisfaction, the happiness of our customers. They are my best ambassadors. Another satisfaction, and which is not the least, is that of having sold tweed to English people. A shame for a French! But Tweedchasse being available in English, everything is possible in the age of the Internet. The best is yet to come.
Today, I am always on the lookout for new products, new partnerships, eager above all to offer my customers products that are elegant, comfortable, technical and practical. This is the Tweedchasse ethic and this is why I am at your service and listening to you. If you have any feedback, advice, comments… I will always be there for you. So all that remains is for me to invite you to browse our catalog and then let yourself be tempted. Why not ? It's the best way to enter the teeming universe of Tweedchasse. You will not regret it.
