Ideal all-weather jacket for taller men, or ideal for wearing over a suit, the best-selling Border jacket is an iconic design with a longer and more generous fit, and lengthened sleeves. Designed in the early 1980s by Barbour chairman Dame Margaret Barbour, the Border is named after the land border between Scotland and England, which founder John Barbour crossed in 1870 to reach the North East of England, where Barbour is still based. Made from 6oz medium-weight waxed cotton, the Border is fully interactive with an optional hood and zip-in thermal liners, making it a reliable year-round jacket. Its traditional features, such as two generous bellow pockets, two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, a classic corduroy collar with press-stud throat flap, and a large brass ring-pull zip with "stormfly" closure, give this jacket a timeless look, loved by all ages and for all lifestyles. Designed as a casual jacket for everyday wear, the Border features two internal pockets with detachable pockets and velcro wind cuffs for added protection in bad weather. 100% Cotton (waxed), shown here in archive olive Lining: 100% Cotton Barbour tartan patterned waxed cotton lining Suitable for zip-in Interactive liners and optional hoods Back length: 96.5 cm - 99 cm Do not wash Sponge clean only
